Sammons Financial Group Employees Vote to Send $180,000 to Local Charities

Annual Community Outreach Program Supports 14 Charities


West Des Moines, Iowa – September 14, 2022 – Sammons® Financial Group, Inc. announced the results of their annual Community Outreach Program. The initiative, started in 2018, empowers employees to nominate charities near and dear to their hearts for funding. Employees voted to determine the winners.

“We wanted to give all employees, not just our leaders serving on charitable organization boards, the opportunity to nominate their favorite charity to receive financial support from Sammons Financial Group,” said Tom Nucaro, Chairman of the Community Involvement Committee.

The following organizations will receive funding from the Community Outreach Program:

  • Sleep in Heavenly Peace – $24,000
  • 4 All Kids – $14,000
  • Central Iowa Shelter & Services – $14,000
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa – $12,000
  • Ellipsis – $12,000
  • Family Cancer Network – $12,000
  • Friends of Liberty Landing (Special Olympics) – $12,000
  • Iowa Service Dogs – $12,000
  • The Jed Foundation – $12,000
  • The MOST (Miles of Smiles Team) – $12,000
  • On with Life Foundation – $12,000
  • Prevent Child Abuse Iowa – $12,000
  • Valor Fit – $12,000
  • FluffyButts Rescue – $8,000
