Fraser, Ltd.

Fraser, Ltd. is the longest-serving nonprofit in North Dakota. The organization offers support to children, youth, and adults in an effort to help them gain independence. This is done by providing childcare to all children in an inclusionary setting; life’s necessities and support during crisis for at-risk and homeless youth; residential support, life skills, and community integration opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities; as well as confidential outpatient mental health therapy through Valley Hope Counseling Services. 

Sammons Financial Group has supported Fraser through monetary donations and employee volunteers for nearly 10 years. Our contributions have enabled the charity to purchase an outdoor playground, a handicap accessible van, a commercial oven, picnic tables, appliance upgrades, and more.

In 2019, Sammons Financial Group donated a total of $61,000 to Fraser. These funds covered the costs of window replacements at two group homes, a vocational cooking program for children and youth, safety mats for a gross motor area in the childcare center, support for the transitional youth services program, furniture for a staff meeting area to eliminate the need to hold off-site meetings, and sponsorship of a youth volunteer summer camp. Additionally, employees contributed over 80 volunteer hours. 

Furthermore, the company supports Fraser’s annual Festival of Trees, which includes a display of over 150 trees sponsored and decorated by local businesses, organizations, and families. The event draws attention from hundreds of community members as well as people in the surrounding areas who come to view the trees. Sammons Financial Group employees volunteer to help with preparing all the trees to be decorated by sponsors.
