Sammons Financial Group Employees Direct More Than $200,000 to South Dakota Nonprofits
Eighteen Charities to receive funding through an annual employee-led Community Impact Challenge
West Des Moines, Iowa – November 14, 2022 – Sammons® Financial Group, Inc. announced the results of their annual Community Impact Challenge. The initiative, started in 2014, gives employees the opportunity to nominate nonprofit organizations and vote on individual charities to receive grants.
“The Community Impact Program is one of many ways we give back to the local community,” said Rachelle Tieszen, vice president of human resources. “The need in our communities is always great, and our employees raise their hands to get involved time after time. We’re proud to be able to give back to organizations that make a difference for the people in South Dakota.”
The following organizations will receive funding from the Community Impact Challenge:
- Active Generations (Day Break) – $12,500
- Alpha Center – $5,000
- Alzheimer's Association – $5,000
- American Legion Post 65 – $15,000
- Bikers Against Child Abuse – $5,000
- Call to Freedom – $25,000
- Children's Inn – $10,000
- Emily's Hope – $10,000
- Faith Temple Food Giveaway – $15,000
- Family Connection – $10,000
- Game Plan 4 Hope – $25,000
- Mended Little Hearts – $5,000
- Parkinson Association of SD – $5,000
- Pathways Literacy Center – $10,000
- Sioux Empire Pit Rescue – $15,000
- South Dakota Salutes – $15,000
- The Link – $10,000
- Veterans Community Project – $10,000
